Safety regulations
When choosing filming designs for your office, we need to take into account Building Control Regulations Part N. Glazing which covers safety in relation to impact, opening and cleaning.
Safety requirements for glass doors and glazed screens
- The location of glass entrance doors should be easily distinguished, especially when they are within a glazed screen and when the door is both open and shut
- Graphic filming should be clearly contrasting with the background in all weather / lighting conditions
- Graphic filming should be located between 850mm to 1000mm and 1400mm to 1600mm - minimum requirements are: two 50mm wide solid bands or two rows of 50mm round or square dots 50mm apart within the specified heights
- High contrast strips at the top and on both sides of a glazed door in a glazed screen should be provided
